Building careers in Korea (B&Q International)

We were asked to help build and develop a teamwork ethos in Korea. The company involved is set to double in size and asked for a bespoke training programme that would highlight current team working issues and develop ideas for the future.

Thirdwave designed a proactive two-day workshop that could be facilitated by a translator for the first two days. This was followed by another two days run for English speakers. The training introduced team ideas and put them in context by examining the big issues in the organisation. Elements of leadership and attitude were introduced before the group decided which teams they would put together, to complete self chosen work tasks as an exercise in active learning.

The team comprised store retail managers and Head Office buyers. This allowed a facilitation of ideas and discussion among team members who would need increased communication skills as the organisation grew in size.
